President Jason Dekeuster called his 52nd club meeting of St. Paul Rotary to order.
He thanked his meeting support team of Heidi, Pat, Dave, Andrew, Jim, MJ, John C and Lindsey for their awesome support.
Incoming Governor Michael-jon Pease shared a quote from a Nobel Peace Prize laureate and girl's education advocate Malala Yousafzai that was featured at the 2026 Rotary International Convention which he recently attended.
Dr. Jim Hart did a great job welcoming guests. Past President John Chandler introduced our meeting speaker Dr. Mayme Hostetter, 22nd President of Hamline University. President Hostetter grew up in the Twin Cities, moved out East for her education and career. Coming back to the Twin Cities is a great homecoming for her and her family. Dr. Hostetter shared parts of the University's new strategic plan. She indicated that her goal is to grow the University with more students and financial support. Her theme was centered around "What's your first real job after college" with the hope that the University Pipers (students) will credit the University for securing their first careers.
President Jason has a special highlight during the meeting when he inducted his brother Jeff DeKeuster into our Club.
As President Jason wrapped up the meeting, he encouraged everyone to attend next Tuesday's meeting which is the Changing of the Guard.
